UPDATE: We hit a largish deer that wasn't very smart on SR6 in a canyon approaching Provo, Utah. We were on our way to Sonoma, California, from Pikes Peak (Colorado Springs). Today, we were 17th overall, and placed 13th overall in the morning event.

The car is repairable, A new headlight, radiator, and MAP sensor are the key items needed, another IPP hood is also needed later on...

The intercooler is undamaged, the core support is kinda rearranged, nothing a BFH (big hammer) can't adjust.

We have the full technical support of the SRT team, and are pretty sure that Hinckley Dodge in Salt Lake will have us on the road monday afternoon.

It's been a long day, but the team is unhurt, the airbags did not deploy because we had slowed enough before killing the deer, and we are confident that we will still win the class, even with a DNF on Monday.

The 2004 One Lap of America should prove to be very interesting. We are bringing an SRT-4 that was built to go as fast as we can, reliably. We'll be sticking with Mopar Performance Parts for a couple reasons, including price, reliability, and proven performance.

The 2003 event witnessed the debut of the SRT-4, entered by PVO (now SRT), driven by Erich Heuschele, finishing 8th overall. That's a tough act to follow, not only may PVO (now SRT) be back in 2004 with an even faster SRT-4, the rest of the class has already been given notice that there's a new Sheriff in town, and his name is SRT-4.

We hope to do well with the car in 2004, but we're not foolish enough to predict a class win or top 10 overall finish. We will predict that 8 out of 10 automotive enthusiasts on the internet will be following our progress as the event unfolds.

The 2004 Team has grown considerably from the two-man effort in 2003. Returning are drivers Dale Seeley and Jamin Cummings. Dunnie Morgan will join us, providing transit help and attempting to keep the website updated with the videos during the event.

New for our team in 2004 is a support team that will help out before, and during the event. Aaron Francis, Tim Schiffer, and Miki Kologranic were an important part of car preparation. Andre Guerrieri and Greg Ledet will be maintaining the websites during the event and passing along information and questions from the Internet world.

In an attempt to bring the race to you, we are placing cameras in various vehicles on the tracks and will be uploading their moments along with our own. Please take the time to visit our sponsors, together, they have made our 2004 effort a success.
